Merchants
Merchants
A merchant is what a provider account looks like to a business. Each has its own merchant ID and secret key, which go into the Portal's Provider config under this provider's name, like 2C2P credentials.

Makes this provider misbehave on purpose, to test the Portal's controls (Annex A). Every change is audited and shown on the hosted page.
What each mode tests

- DUPLICATE / REPLAY → W-06 and C-03 replay refusal; TAMPERED_SIGNATURE / STALE → C-03 (T-03).
- AMOUNT_MISMATCH notification, or Inquiry AMOUNT_DIFFERS → C-04 mismatch, VERIFY_FAILED (T-04).
- Inquiry ALWAYS_PENDING / NOT_FOUND → final check at expiry, UNRESOLVED_PENDING (W-04, W-05).
- Latency, error rate, outage → circuit breaker suppresses and restores the provider (W-15, T-26).
- Refunds ASYNC / FAIL / REJECT → refund submission states (W-10–W-12, T-23).

Daily cut-off
At 00:00 UTC each day closes: approved sales due by then settle (a manual-settle merchant's card sales only once it sent Settle; its approvals past their validity expire), card sales and refunds get their ARN, and one settlement batch and report per merchant and currency is fixed. Each batch is paid out to the merchant: the net less any rolling reserve, plus reserves due back that day. Close the open day now to get a report immediately.

Safeguarding
Customers' e-money is this provider's debt to them. It must be backed in full by the safeguarding (trust) account, kept apart from the money collected for merchants, and equal the sum of the customers' balances.

Customer accounts
Payers open their own accounts on this provider's account page or while paying, and pay from the balance. Money enters an account only by a cash-in recorded here by provider staff, with the counter receipt or bank reference.
Wallet limits by KYC level
0 unverified · 1 basic (ID document seen) · 2 full (identity verified). Payments and withdrawals over a limit are refused with the reason; cash-ins and top-ups may not take a balance over the maximum. Refunds always come back. Empty = no limit.

Bank connection
Customers link their own bank account to this provider: they sign in at the bank and approve there. With a linked account they pay directly from the bank or top up their balance from it, and refunds, voids and lost chargebacks of bank-funded payments go back to that account. Register this provider as a client at the bank (bank operator page → API clients) with the redirect URI below, then store the credentials the bank issued here. They are checked against the bank before they are saved.
Exchange rates
This provider's own rates. A merchant asks for a quote (exchangeRate) for an amount in its currency and the currency the payer
wants to pay in. The quote fixes the rate and the payer's amount for , and paymentToken with fxQuoteID charges the payer in that currency.
The merchant is still paid, settled and refunded in its own currency. Refunds go back to the payer at the same rate. Rate: 1 from = rate to.
